Public Health Reports
The official journal of the U.S. Public Health Service and the U.S. Surgeon General and has been published since 1878. The journal is peer-reviewed and publishes original research and commentaries in the areas of public health practice and methodology, original research, public health law, and public health schools and teaching. Issues contain regular commentaries by the U.S. Surgeon General and executives of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Health.
The journal focuses upon such topics as tobacco control, teenage violence, occupational disease and injury, immunization, drug policy, lead screening, health disparities, and many other key and emerging public health issues. In addition to the six regular issues, PHR produces supplemental issues approximately 2-5 times per year which focus on specific topics that are of particular interest to our readership.

Preventing Chronic Diseases
A peer-reviewed electronic journal established by the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion. The mission of PCD is to promote the open exchange of information and knowledge among researchers, practitioners, policy makers, and others who strive to improve the health of the public through chronic disease prevention. The vision of PCD is to be the premier forum where practitioners and policy makers inform research and researchers help practitioners and policy makers more effectively improve the health of the population.
Articles focus on preventing and controlling chronic diseases and conditions, promoting health, and examining the biological, behavioral, physical, and social determinants of health and their impact on quality of life, morbidity, and mortality across the life span.

International Journal of Health Policy and Management
A peer-reviewed journal which serves as an international and interdisciplinary setting for the dissemination of health policy and management research. IJHPM is intended to enhance communication among health system researchers, policy and decision makers, legislators, practitioners, educators, administrators, students, and other types of allied health professionals in the research and healthcare delivery systems. IJHPM publishes high quality editorials, perspectives, review articles, original research articles (both empirical and theoretical), policy briefs, commentaries, correspondences, hypotheses, and letters to editor. Geographical coverage including coverage of the poorest countries and low- and middle- income countries is of utmost importance in IJHPM.

Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology
Publishes scientifically authoritative, clinically applicable, peer-reviewed research on control and evaluation of the transmission of pathogens in healthcare institutions and on the use of epidemiological principles and methods to evaluate and improve the delivery of care.
Major topics covered include infection control practices, surveillance, cost-benefit analyses, resource use, occupational health, and regulatory issues. ICHE is the official publication of the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA).

The Revista Brasileira em Promoção da Saúde (Brazilian Journal in Health Promotion) was founded in 1984 and is based on Health Promotion, including public policies, healthy environments, community capacity building, individual and collective skills development, and reorientation of health services. It publishes articles with quantitative and qualitative approaches, research of descriptive nature, analytical, clinical, epidemiological and environmental studies, whose final objective is the dissemination of scientific knowledge in Health Promotion and in Public / Collective Health.
