International Perspectives on Sexual and Reproductive Health
Provides the latest peer-reviewed research on sexual and reproductive health in Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and Asia, with abstracts in Spanish and French as well as English. The journal invites submissions based on qualitative or quantitative research on such topics as contraceptive practice and research; fertility levels, trends and determinants; adolescent pregnancy; sexual behavior; HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases; public policies and legal issues affecting family planning and childbearing; program operation, development and evaluation; information, education and communication activities; reproductive, maternal and child health; and abortion.
The research published in International Perspectives, complemented by commentaries, special reports and staff-written summaries of other developments in the field, provides unique insights into how reproductive health issues are affected by policies and programs, and their implications for individuals and societies. Emphasizes contraception, fertility; adolescent pregnancy; abortion; family planning policies and programs; sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV/AIDS; and reproductive, maternal and child health.

Originating in 1983 as the Journal of Diarrhoeal Diseases Research, JHPN was re-launched in 2000 by icddr,b, a world‐class public health research organization, in Dhaka, Bangladesh. icddr,b developed JHPN during the period 2000-2015 as an internationally renowned journal, with a special focus on research of relevance to developing countries.
JHPN brings together research on all aspects of issues related to population, nutrition and health. The journal publishes articles across a broad range of topics including global health, maternal and child health, nutrition, common illnesses and determinants of population health.
