The Revista Brasileira em Promoção da Saúde (Brazilian Journal in Health Promotion) was founded in 1984 and is based on Health Promotion, including public policies, healthy environments, community capacity building, individual and collective skills development, and reorientation of health services. It publishes articles with quantitative and qualitative approaches, research of descriptive nature, analytical, clinical, epidemiological and environmental studies, whose final objective is the dissemination of scientific knowledge in Health Promotion and in Public / Collective Health.

The journal publishes editorials, original articles, review articles, description of experiences or services, evaluation of health services and case reports.
